Learn about the production of hemp for CBD and other non-psychoactive cannabinoids. This training will focus on hemp physiology, cultivation, and production systems to support emerging products and markets.
The training schedule is as follows:
- Session 1 (August 5–7, 2021): Pre-Production—Site selection, field preparation, choosing the right genetics, and field starts.
- Session 2 (August 19–21, 2021): Field Production and Testing—Planting, irrigation, weed and pest management, testing for maturation, and cannabanoid content.
- Session 3 (September 24–25, 2021): Harvesting and Processing—Harvest and drying techniques for biomass and flower.
Note: The focus of this course is on CBD and other non-psychoactive cannabinoids derived from industrial hemp (<.3% THC). This training does not deal directly with products derived from marijuana.
